Further Study:

Acts 2:38, 41 - Peter replied, "38 Repent and be baptized, every one of you, for the forgiveness of your sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day."

Mark 16:16, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

1 Peter 3:21 - "and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.[e] It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,"

Acts 22:16 - "And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name."

Acts 10:47-48 - "47 “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days."

Acts 8:36-39 - "As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?” [37] [c] 38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. 39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing."

Matthew 28:18-20 - "Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Galatians 3:27 - "for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ."

Romans 6:3 - "Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?"

Acts 8:13 - Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Acts 19:5 - "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."

1 Corinthians 12:13 - "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."

We encourage each person to examine the Scriptures, making a conclusion of God's Word based on a holistic, prayerful Bible study, like the Bereans did (Acts 17:11-12).
